Application: fluidised bed coating
PVC thermoplastic powders are fluidized by injecting low-pressure air at the bottom of the so-called fluid bed. Air is injected through a porous septum, a type of filter that allows air to pass while keeping the powder in place, thereby evenly fluidizing the powder and forming the fluid bed. The metal pieces to be coated are preheated and then immersed in the fluidized powder. The preheating ensures that the PVC powder adheres to the object, creating a homogeneous coating upon contact. After this cycle, the coated product is placed in an oven for a period sufficient to ensure complete melting and fusion of the powder coating, achieving a smooth and durable finish.
